Lords are not recognizable from each other and fail to make a meaningful impression on the player. Late game is a slog of battle, battle, battle, recruit, battle, battle, battle, capture castle/city, recruit, battle, battle, battle. Armor feels like plastic and tier 1 troops can deal huge amounts of damage to tier 6 units covered in plate from top to bottom. Items need to be more comparable between factions (some faction shops only sell 3 types of gloves, the best giving 9+ armor). The rate of gaining personal XP is too slow and facilitates long grinds. Workshop- and caravan management needs more depth. Diplomacy is severely lacking, feels very restricted and the AI makes very bizarre decisions. Relations with villages and towns are more important as the ability to recruit high-tier troops and noble troops are now possible.Ĭompanions are less engaging. Big strides in character customization and the addition of different voice options, height, weight, etc. Mercenary armies are diverse and interesting with unique troops and equipment. The foundation for the smithing skill is very promising. Large variety of sceneries for villages, towns, and castles which make battles feel refreshing and different. Units for each faction are very diverse and each has its strengths and weaknesses depending on the terrain and enemy composition. Early game feels very rewarding as each new type of equipment, troop addition, and acquiring of new companion feels meaningful.
